New, and desperate

  • I recently discovered that I have gained well over 60lb in less than two years and I feel awful about it.

I have always struggled with my weight, but for a long time in my twenties I made fitness a priority and got iinto great shape....

Two children later (lost all the weight after the first but ballooned with the second), I can admit I am obese. I lost all but 15 lb the second time around by crash dieting - hcg and master cleanse...horrible ideas!

I went to the dr becauSe I missed a month of my period and he was very worried. All tests came back normal, thank God.

I have gained this weight through zero exercise, binge eating and horrible stress and anxiety that I have trouble managing.

I currently weigh 216.6lb and I am 5'4. I feel overwhelmed and absolutely humiliated it will be a long road ahead

  • First off welcome to 3FC!!!

You've already taken a huge step in your journey, and this is a wonderful board and community to be a part of. I highly suggest no more fad diets and try to find one that works best for you (Calorie counting works well for me and working out 4-5 days a week). You can check out sites like MyFitnessPal which I use to help you track, but there are TONS of sites like that so just check around and find what best suits you.

Also, this board is full of different groups and people who are in the same boat as you, and I recommend checking out the numerous challenges on here for extra motivation and support. Challenges are a lot of fun. You can do this, don't give up on yourself!
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey!
