Default Intro -- Happy to Be Here
I been reading this forum since 2009, and finally decided to get serious about my health.

Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm 48 and have children ranging from 10 through 20. Been overweight since I gave birth to my last child, ten years ago. Gained lots of weight, and through some illnesses, stresses, have gained much more.

Husband and I just separated . . . mainly, because of my weight, he is no longer attracted to me . . . . sad, but more mad.

Just got news that I have Metabolic Syndrome which is a combination of High Cholesterol, the start of pre-diabets, and high blood pressure.

Doctor is giving me 3 months to lose 20lbs which he says will improve my overall health and problems with this syndrome, and then see what meds, if any I will need.

I do smoke . . . working on that too. I'm very encouraged by what I am reading here, and hope to give support and encouragement, and make new friends.

Hi! I'm pretty new too.

Your husband is a jerk face if he left you over your weight.

I quit smoking four months ago using an electronic cigarette. Made it super easy! Can give you lots of info on the subject if you're interested.

Congratulations on getting started. You are on your way.

You got that right!!!!!!!

Together 24 years, and last 10 his distance because of my weight gain had me shattered . . . he told me "men are visual". He loves me (so he says), but is not longer attracted to me . . .

Get this . . . . he will be watching me over the next few months and if he see's an improvement in my physical appearance (weight, clothing, hair, makekup) he is open to reconciling.

I'm Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've decluttered my home, now I'm getting healthy, I took the trash out . . . not letting any garbage (or person) back in!!!

One of my kids let the cat out of the bag . . . my son bought me an Electric cigarette for Christmas . . . hopefully I'll be successful like yourself!!!
