New, and trying to lose about 40 pounds.

    I used to weigh around 145 and was unhappy with my weight. That was two years ago and I've gained 20 pounds. :/

    I want to lose around 40 pounds for an ultimate goal weight of 125.

    The lowest I have ever weighed in my adult years was 139, and though I was happy that i was getting closer to my goal, I didn't see much of a difference between that and the 155 I was at before that.

    I eat very poorly, lead an entirely sedentary lifestyle and have zero motivation to do anything.

    I tried calorie counting with good results before, and I liked it because it meant that I could still eat the things I liked. It failed because I stopped counting.

    Never set foot in a gym. I plan on running and doing some at-home strength training, along with yoga.

    The weight isn't so much a concern for me as how my body looks. If i have firm muscle and a slim figure but weigh 145 i'm okay with that.
