Soooooo...I took the plunge and became a member! I have lurked and read on here for a long time. These forums are filled with so much information and fabulous people that I just couldn't resist any more.
I am a part-time accountant and a full time student, mother of a girl and boy - 12 and 17 resectively. I just received my Ninja blender in the mail yesterday and am ready to really commit to this journey. My wake up call was just yesterday when I went to the dr for my birth control shot and found out I have high blood pressure. It has been years since I have had my blood pressure taken, and now knowing it is high - it's time to put forth a bigger, better effort.
I have been a gym rat all my life, however since hitting 30 I cannot seem to lose any weight. I have tried the Slim Fast plan, the high protien plans, and an hour of cardio every day.....somehow I am still not losing. So, I am hoping to start a healthier way of living - not dieting - to start off slowly. I know this is a journey now and not a quick fix. Time to put the gym first and heathly eating not just for me, but for my children too!
