Hi everyone! My name is Ingrid! I am 23 (soon to be 24) years old and I just found this site and I love it! I have decided to get healthy and lose 100 pounds by my 25th birthday. I just started my weight loss journey today, so I have a long way to go. I am just looking for tips, encouragement, and weight loss buddies to help me along this journey! I look forward to talking with you all!

Welcome to the community Ingrid. That's a big goal you have there. Depending on your current weight, it's certainly possible. Just remember to be flexible and to manage your expectations accordingly. Having a giant goal in mind is great. But it's those small, seemingly insignificant steps that are made day in and day out that drive the direction you're heading. Focus on them with consistency and the giant goal will become much more of a reality.

Best to you!

This is such a big step, and I think you've come to the right place to find the support that you will need to reach your goals. I know it's a big (and probably overwhelming) number, so I've found that breaking up my goal into smaller goals kept me motivated and on-track.

Good for you. That is a big goal.

I'm new to this forum too. I started my weight goal about 1.5 years ago. I sometimes regress a bit. So I really focus on mini-goals of all types mini-goals about how much exercise, mini-goals about how well I do the exercise, and of course mini-goals with my weight.

Good luck with your challenge :-) Just start with it one day at a time.

I see we have pretty similar goals. Big number but I'm positive it's possible...As mentioned, to have mini-goals is a good thing! And it's always a good thing to come here for support and inspiration
