There are quite a few of us here, but we haven't had a lot of success maintaining a long-term thread (we post enthusiastically for a whle, and then taper off and the thread ends up dying, but then a new thread will crop up).
I used to post in the LAWL (LA Weight Loss) thread because LAWL was an exchange based plan (I don't know if it still is, or even still exists because LAWL has had some bankruptcy issues and may no longer exist, I don't know).
I also post in the calorie counting forum because I do consider exchange plans a form of calorie counting in which most of the counting is done for you, so you can count in smaller blocks (in fact it's hard to argue otherwise since a person following an 1800 calorie exchange plan is getting the same calories as someone following an 1800 calorie in which they have to do all the counting themselves.
Of course I also consider Weight Watchers a form of calorie counting (and I sometimes post on the WW forums as well).
Some of us are trying to keep a TOPS (a non-profit weight loss group, the initals standing for Take off pounds sensibly). While TOPS allows members to choose their own food plans, the optional book "The Choice is Mine," does explain the exchange plan and at least one other counting method. The book is available on amazon.com and from TOPS groups (most chapters will have a copy that new members can borrow, and often other members are willing to give or sell their copy).
Welcome, and happy exchanging.
