No more seefood diet!
Yeah...I see it. I eat it. It's gotta stop.
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and looking forward to getting to know you and both receive and give support to new friends.
I'm a 48 year old divorced mom of an amazing 10-year old son. I relocated almost 2 years ago to PA when I left my husband in Florida and work a pretty physical job despite having Chronic Epstein-Barr and Fibro. When I got here, I'd lost about 70 pounds and the work was no big deal. (I'm lucky...I"m not nearly as badly affected as a lot of people with those diseases.) Now, after putting about 50 of that back on, I'm slowing down, exhausted and in more pain again. I also have a history of very high cholesterol that I brought down when I lost the weight before, and I don't want to know where it is now. <sigh> In short--I'd like to live long enough to see my grandkids someday and be in good enough shape to enjoy them. So I have to get control of my eating again and I REALLY need help.
When I lost the weight before, I did it by eating small meals throughout the day and focusing on high-protein (lean sources) low carb, low cholesterol, low fat, high fiber. I didin't think of it as dieting--I thought of it as a change in lifestyle. If it worked before, it can work again, right?
I'm going to feel my way around this site and at least do daily check-ins and reports on each day's successes. (Or failures.) Hopefully, by hanging with ya'll and being accountable, my head will get back into the right setting to do this.
My starting weight is currently 212. My goal weight is 150. (My highest weight was 250 and when I lost the weight last time, I got down to 180 or so.)
C'mon ladies....(and gentlemen?) .....we can DO this together!
Love,
Wolfie
Oh, PS: I LOVE those little weight ticker thingamagigs....where do you get them?
