A friend of mine talked my into signing up here a few months ago, so this isn't technically my "introduction", per se, but...

I had an epiphany a couple days ago. I decided that I am rather attached to my feet, would prefer to stay that way, and being a fat diabetic slob is not exactly conducive to remaining ambulatory.

I'm a 5'5", 235 lb single dad in my 40s, trying to go carb free for the first time in my life. It is currently Day 3 in that quest. I figure if I can make it through to the end of July without too many stumbles I should be on the path to good future health.

This is not a diet. This is an honest attempt to change my lifestyle permanently.

Thanks gals So far I'm super jittery and I keep gazing at the snack machine with a sad longing, but I am coping (with a little help from my pistachio friends)...
