50 year-old calorie counter here~
 

Hi y'all! :wave:

I've been posting on the calorie counters forum for about a week but just now taking the time to say howdy to everyone. :D I'm not at all new to weight loss and have been a yo-yo since I married my hubby 27 years ago.:p
Now that I'm 50, I feel an urgency to get the weight off finally and keep it off for good. So far, I'm doing well.

Today I ran into an old friend who commented on how much weight I'd gained since she saw me last (like I didn't know). :mad:
What makes people think it's ok to say stuff like that?! :dizzy:

That is sooooooo rude. I would say "Well isn't that a rude thing to say!" I'm not sure where people find the gumption to say things like that, but it is definitely not ok. And I would let her know. Just say something like "I'm working on the weight issue, but when is your facelift consult scheduled for? You seem to be looking a little weathered." Nuff said. Anyhow, welcome, and know that you have found a place to share things about stupid people any time you want, and supportive people to help you on what is sure to be your last weight loss journey.

That was very rude of your friend, I dont know how to deal with that, unless you were to tell her that it was hurtful and/or rude.
