Hey ya'll -
I have been more of a lurker than poster in the past. It's been a year since my last log-in. Since then we have moved, I have switched jobs, bought a house, lost a beloved pet, returned to school for my next highest degree level, and just generally been living.
I have reached new "heights" on the scale of 233 (I'm 5'7"), and that was the motivator to get back on here and be a part of a community dedicated to living a healthier lifestyle and losing weight.
So, here I am! :carrot: Taking things one day, one meal, one work-out at a time.

Hi Krista, Sounds like we have alot in common. I just joined this site yesterday, nine days in to my most recent effort to take control of my life, my weight and my health. In the past year I, too, have moved, changed jobs, and lost my most beloved creature on earth, my Greyhound, Rose. All of which contributed to my feeling pretty out of control and doing alot of emotional eating to compensate and self-comfort. Well, we all know where that kind of behavior gets us, so here I am. I guess we have to remember that not all change is bad--new houses and towns and jobs can turn out to be good, and new ways of thinking about food and our health can be good, too. So, welcome back, and keep up the good work!
