You can tell by my thread title I'm just beginning my journey of a lifestyle change today. After a couple decades of eating with complete disregard for my health it's time to change course. The incredible growing man is about to shrink.

I'm fed up with the simple things in life my weight gain has taken away from me. Simple things like shopping for clothes and seeing styles I like and discovering NOTHING is in my size. Having to go to the BIG and TALL section to find something that fits me, which is normally drab and boring, if there is anything at all.

I absolutely love what I do for a living, but it does require me to be on my feet quite a bit. It would be a very sad day if for health reasons I couldn't do what I look forward to doing every day and never plan to stop doing.

I'm so excited to be able to share my journey here and to be an encouragement to others. Reading the many success stories is amazing. I know my personality and I know this is going to be a special day I will reflect upon fondly in the future. April 15, 2012!!!!
