Default Counting down from 315

Hello folks. I'm 45 years old and working away at my beloved fat cells.

When I was 19, I was modeling and in university. I became anorexic and had to leave school. I was down to 86lbs. Over the next 10 years, struggled, but got healthy.

After kids, I piled on the pounds reaching a startling size 26 US. I was eating terribly and just not a happy woman.

I am now down to a size 22 and doing fabulous. Hired a personal trainer and am stepping it up a notch. Have a pretty intense fitness schedule and am doing great.

Because of my eating disorder issues, I've opted to ditch the scale until I'm a size 18. Then will reassess.

My goal size is 12. HA HA. I know right? But, Im pretty sure I can do it.

What happens to all that skin though? Tummy tuck? Uggh!

Some people have a lot of excess skin while others do not. It really just depends on the person and how fast you lose it (by fast, I mean in an unhealthy way). I believe that if the excess skin is bad enough, some insurance companies do cover the cost to have it removed.

Wow! Congrats on your progress so far! And congrats one being able to overcome your eating disorder as well!

It's such a great encouragement to read these kinds of post and see how motivated people are in getting healthy. I'm sure you will continue to do awesome! You'll be a size 12 in no time!

As for the excess skin, I'm not really sure about that. I did hear its different for different people. But like Candeka mentioned, I think how you lose the weight & how fast you lose it may play a part.

Welcome and congrats on all your achievements so far - with that determination, you WILL get there

As for the skin thing it's hard to tell early on as others have said. You're doing the right thing with all the exercise so stick with it. How fast definitely plays a part so just work at doing it healthily rather than quickly.
