Default New Here...looking for IP Alternative

Hi Everyone,

I'm brand new here and having a hard time getting around the site....it's a bit confusing to me.

I am searching for "legitimate" alternatives to the IP diet because I don't have that kind of money and I know the diet WORKS!

Any input you could give me or point me to the direction I need to go would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

Cathy

I use all alternatives for IP.
I use these for my shakes: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Eas-Advant...-4-pk/10294433

I use these for my restricted: http://www.nashuanutrition.com/store...cks-7-box.html

Plus the 4 cups approved veggies, EVOO, sea salt and other required things

Much cheaper & easier on my budget than the "real" IP!

Is there a protocol written out somewhere that you can follow? I'm totally not familiar with the actual IP protocol because I've never been on it....like what to eat, when, how often, etc???

NOAH ~ I'm not sure if there is a complete layout of the IP plan on here, but there is a sub-forum for it, and some info & chat threads that you can check out in the "DIET CENTRAL".

Click on "3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community" at the top of this page; and all the forums will be displayed. Scroll down until you see the PACKAGED MEALS & CLINICS forums -- it's there. You may be able to gleam enuff info from other participants to get you going, and follow along with them as well. Good luck ...

OH, here's the link to it ...

I would definitely suggest what the commenter below your last comment said. Head on over to the IP forum and check out everything. There's a newbie forum, along with the different phases etc. If you need any help feel free to let me know! I can give you a sample of how I set up my menu plan for the day.

Breakfast: ready to drink shake or sometimes I will have my "restricted" instead.
Snack: 1 cup veggies.
Lunch: ready to drink shake OR "restricted" [I switch back and forth]
Snack: 1 cup veggies.
Dinner: 8oz protein [measured RAW!] & 1 cup veggies.
Snack: 1 cup veggies & ready to drink shake.

Sometimes if I'm still hungry I will add in some egg whites; sometimes I eat them scrambled or sometimes I just eat some boiled egg whites. They help fill me up when I'm feeling just rumbly sometimes.

Let me know if you need anymore help

The closest thing I have found to the IP diet, would be following the Primal Blueprint way of life. It's a book, about $15 on Amazon, but the author also has a long running blog called marksdailyapple.com. I try my best to live and eat this way, and it seems to work pretty well to me. Anything you want to know about the diet is there on the website, but the book really lays it all out.
