Ok, confession is good for the soul, so I have heard it said. It is that time for me.
As you can tell by the first thread, I was having a very successful time watching my weight but then life happened. I had lost about 40 pounds but really lost interest in loosing any more. Then I spent the next year inching my way back up the scale. I guess the good news is that I didn't gain all 40 back, but I did gain the majority of it back.
So, here I am again. I want to loose the weight, and I need to as well. I do not have any medical insurance so I figure that I better be in the best shape I can be - that means that I need to loose at least 50 pounds - but I would like 60 better. The 60 may not be reasonable, but I will make that decision after I have lost the first 50.
And on a personal note...anyone want to hang with me? I would really like someone who will keep me accountable. Cheering is nice, but, I need someone who will not listen to my bull and give me a swift kick as often as I need it.
So here we go (again)....

Welcome back! Life happens, brush yourself off and get to work.
Good for you for getting back on plan before you gained all the weight you lost back.
You can do this! I KNOW you CAN!
Mommysews, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!
Mommysews do you have a certain plan you are going with?
As to a plan, I work basically on reality. I am a picky eater and there are just some things that I WILL NOT eat - peppers are a major one and salmon is another. I also have a nut allergy and nuts are big in diets now
I am a member at Curves and and I follow their higher protein plan - which overall I like because I can avoid peppers and salmon. the nuts are harder to avoid. Anyway, that has the flexibility to do what I need to do so I follow it.
Fruit and veggies are my biggest challenge. Also I learned LONG ago that if I follow my own "rule" that I do pretty well. If I get them in, I have a good day, if I don't it is a bigger challenge. Anyway I make sure that I have a serving of fruit at breakfast, both fruits and veggies for lunch and at least 2 servings of veggies at dinner.
So that is what I am attempting to do.
