I have been wanting to lose about thirty lbs for a LONGGGG time now and have just gotten the motivation. I am totally open to how others are keeping themselves motivated. I decided that Every "mini-goal" i reach that I will reward myself (with non food items of course). Gosh I hope this works...
ItsTime, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join!
Hi there! I'm also new to 3FC, and I've been wanting to lose a similar amount of weight, also for a looooooooooong time!
I think that the mini-goal reward system is a great idea. A friend of mine motivated herself that way, and her rewards included a tattoo and a new puppy.
I'm planning to reward myself with clothes as I go. For each week (7 straight days) that I stick to my eating and exercise plan, I get one new article of clothing. Luckily I prefer to shop at thrift stores, or else this could get expensive!

Luckily, 30 lbs. is TOTALLY do-able and I bet that by Easter we'll all be celebrating our triumph!
