Talking Hey, here's something about me

Hi I'm Kendra. I'm 20 years old ((just turned)) and in college. Growing up I was a child who grew before anyone else I mean really grew at age 7 I was already starting my first training bra and by fourth grade I had a period and a full set of breasts i was even the tallest in class. Don't forget the teenage pimple outburst at age twelve. So you might think a girl like that would look odd in a school full of tiny children. Well you guessed it I was called fat, heavy, so many names when really I was just going through puberty super and faster then any of my peers and you know kids can be cruel. Well when some shoves crap down your throat that isn't true you start to believe n as a little girl i started eating more and sneaking snacks. I then started my years to come long battle with food and insecurities. Somehow by middle school when I got contacts I realized I let those kids eat at me so much that I literally became what they thought I was. So i lost it..I have no idea how till this day I just got up and exercised 30 minutes every morning at 6:00am. But all goals get away from you sometimes, i stayed around 140 for about all the way up until my Junior year in high school. CHEAP boyfriends who take you out on junk food dates will ruin you. Let's just keep it at that and so far the weight being in college has totally gotten away from me. So i had no idea what to do, exercise of course but I can't afford to eat right sometimes i can barely afford to eat, I've come to a cross roads where i chose to buy a 200 dollar text book instead of eating and on to the dollar menu to Wendys! So its rather hard for me to go out and buy fresh foods and junk so I did research on the water diet and came across Water fasting. So far...I'm on the 1st day and its going pretty good. I did research on how o start and tips and the starvation mode myth i read on weight watchers. Everyone has their say on water fasting but i heard all of it so far and here's what I learned.
Drinking Green tea helps you have energy on a water Fast
Never go more then 30-40 days of fasting
Drink half a gallon of water
Chewing gum can tease and help you deal with hunger pains
Water enemas or ((What I'm doing fiber pills)) will help the detox symptoms go away ((Basically pooping lolz i said poop))
The water you drink pushes on your colon causing you to go to the bathroom ((More poo talk))
The starvation mode is a myth and fasting will not kill you if
you don't have extreme health problems (( SEE a doctor first))
I am doing this fast not to just lose weight but to teach myself
discipline and to let go all the emotions I once felt about weight. I've been meditating by writing in a journal and I basically wright the truth as to why I eat or what emotional toll that food has on me, Cry ((lolz)) then completely let it go. I will feel sad and just drop it or feel whatever I'm feeling then let the emotion go free. I know it sounds weird but really...holding in all these emotions seems so stupid I'm 20 years old still getting teared up about being bullied about having boobs in my childhood.
I have a lot of class from Monday to Thursday taking 15 hours of classes
And i have been drinking green tea and boy does it work!
Lastly, with the information on my belt that I am sticking two
my guns and reformed the fast to fit my needs emotional and physical

1st, I am taking Healthy Trim which is actually green tea tablets all natural they actually are supposed to help you lose weight. i just like the extra energy
2nd Fiber pills on the days I feel reallyyy feel sick n need the toilet ((lolz poo jokes))
3rd Green Tea in the mornings and mid day
4th half gallon on water a day
5th Bathroom!!, get all that gunk out my system.
6th Support my boyfriend says if i get down to 165 He will shave his oh so almost hideous Mexican mustache ((our name for it the mexi-stashe))
7th, Before anyone tell me do this. I'm on day two of my fast and i succeeded. Also classes started yesterday and I feel pretty good and proud of myself. This fast takes a lot of discipline but I'm doing this solely for discipline and weight loss. If you need tips, I'll have to give them to you since I'm doing this from experience at this point and I will tell you if you should do something or not because I am a "LETS TRY IT AND SEE" even though i was told not to XD. Below I have one of the sites that has all the information and motivation you need for water fasting. I have more just ask if you are interested in seeing my sources from the doctors, weight watchers, yahoo answers, and blogs.

wow, i sorta had de ja vu there. your childhood was a lot like mine. i have been heavy all my life. i have tried every diet i can think of including water fasting. the only thing that has ever really worked was healthy eating, portion control, counseling for depression and other issues, and exercise.

water fasting seems so extreme and not a permanent solution, but to each its own. i wish you success in dealing with the issues you have from your childhood, i know its not easy at times. good luck to you

Kendra, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! I admire your commitment, but I have to agree that the 'water fasting' doesn't sound very healthy. Be sure to check out the 20-somethings
