My name is Mary and I'm new to this forum. I'm a 35 year old mother of two, living in Essex in the UK. I'm starting off on a diet and fitness programme now, for the second time, having lost a whopping 7.5 stone (105 pounds) in 2008-2009, it unfortunately gradually nearly all crept back on

I've got a long way to go and know that the journey is not going to be easy, but I'm feeling very motivated at the moment, so hoping for success!
I'm starting off by setting a mini goal of reaching 168 pounds, or 12 stone by mid-August - we are going on a hiking holiday in the Alps then so I will need to be reasonably fit to tackle that! I then plan to lose the remaining 1.5 stone by the end of the year. It's a tough ask but I know that I can do it because I've done it before - I just need to stay focused.
Part of what helped me last time was the support of a forum such as this, so I'm hoping to be able to help people and receive encouragement too
