Question New Member!

Hello! I'm new to this forum actually, I'm new to forums all together. I am struggling with my weight and I was looking on-line for weight loss tips and came across this site. I thought it was great so I decided to join! My boyfriend is a member to a car forum and he enjoys being able to talk to other car enthusiast so I thought maybe I could give this a try.
I am currently very un-happy about my weight and I don't have anybody around me that understand what I'm going through but when I came across this site and I was reading some of the threads I thought it was great to finally be able to communicate with others who feel my pain. I would really like to know how to get the little progress meters at the bottom of your posts. I think there are really cool. As I said I am new so if anybody has any suggestions or tips I would really appreciate them.

Hey ladies

They are called "tickers", if you click on someone's clicker you'll be directed to the website and you can create your own personally I use a website called tickerfactory.

However, you can't use signatures on the forum until you have been a member for a certain period of time/made a # of posts...

So, jot down your details and start with your new and improved diet and exercise and by the time you can add the ticker at the bottom, you'll have some results to be very proud of

to a fellow Canadian ... we have lots of different groups here, including a Canadian thread in the Supports Groups Forum where us Canucks keep in touch now & then. Lots of others you might like to join for daily support too (like 20-somethings) ... good luck!

I am new to this site too. I joined hoping I could find some good support. Most of my family and friends do not struggle much with weight loss, so it is hard for them to understand. I do have one really awesome friend who is losing weight too and she has been a ton of help, so I thought maybe this will help me out even more.

I have posted on several so far. You have lost so much. How did you do it? I have been counting calories so far and doing Zumba when I have time, but I am going to start making more time for exercise. I have been having a really hard time keeping dedicated since Thanksgiving. Do you have any tips on how to get the focus back?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site also. I went to my company Christmas party tonight and had a harsh reality check when I saw myself in the photos . I came home seriously depressed but also motivated to stop being the heaviest person in the photos. I came across this site by accident when I came home tonight and wanted to find something to help me on my weight loss journey. I read some of the posts and everyone seems very supportive. I am going to print that picture of myself, pin it on my bullentin board, and use it as part of my motivation!
