Looking for general support, advice and help for all those willing to share

  • Hi there,

After developing bullemia when i was 17 and overcoming it by the age of 19 ive know been stuck in the world of binge eating. Im 22 and a half and would love for this melt down to be over and live a healthy normal life.

Now im not fat, im not over weight, i go to the gym 6 times a week and enjoying going and the social element.

I went from 7.2 stone being bullemic to my highest weight of 9 and a half stone at the height of binging. I went back down to 8 and half stone when i managed to keep binging to once/twice a week but then started taking protein shakes and binging a little more and i am now just under 9 stone although i did weigh this the day after a binge so there must be some water weight of a few pounds right? I know that if i could just stop binging i could get down to around 8 stone where i would be happy! I can do it and sometimes i go a week (and forget to weight myself to see my true weight) and then other days i only get through a day before i binge again.

Any helps, tips, advice? Also what do you think my true weight is and when would be the best time to weigh? I have a wedding tomorrow but from Sunday i really want to give this a shot and with the help and support of ya'll hopefully ill get through it.

    Thanks guys xxxxxxxxxx
  • Welcome to 3FC =)

You might find some good advice under the Chicks in Control section.

Are you speaking to a therapist or a professional at all? You might want to look into it. With your history, plus your continuous binging, you might find the best help is one-on-one in person with someone.

In fact, right now, I probably would be less concerned with the weight, and MORE concerned with the binging.
  • Welcome
  • WELCOME!!!So glad you are here! I definately talk to a professionl instead of trying to go at this on your own. Also, maybe you could think about Acupuncture. Never thought I would be suggesting it since I never thought I would do it but it has really made quite a difference for me, not just physically but also my state of mind; I feel way more calm. Just a thought
