Hi all!
My name is Sandy. I was sort of a regular on the calorie counting board last fall and winter and doing pretty well with my weight loss. Then I had some minor surgery, got depressed and ate out the contents of my refridgerator for the next year. You know...same ol' yo-yo dieter story.
So about a month ago, my sister and I decided to start a weight loss blog, and it was the best thing I could ever have done to motivate myself to get off my lazy rear and start eating healthier and exercising. I have not slacked one day on my diet of modified carbs and only missed 2 workouts. Tomorrow is our official weigh in day, but as of this past Monday, I'm down 11 pounds since we've started. I'm almost 49, so the pounds don't melt away as quickly as they used to in my 20s and 30s. So I'm thrilled with that loss for my first month.
I am looking forward to making new friends here and getting reaquainted with my old ones. Please check out my sister's and my blog at
http://www.oneyeartostunning.com/ and let us know what you think. We are still working on it and want to add more stuff. Any suggestions/advice would be highly appreciated.
And please check it out tomorrow when we'll be posting out one-month-complete pictures. I'm already seeing a big difference, and I hope you will, too.
Oh, and the picture in my avatar is not what I look like now. That was me at 43 years old and at my goal weight of 140 pounds. I've put that as my avatar to help inspire me.
