I'm a newbie too! I have been exploring this site, and feel like it's a really great, positive place. You guys have achieved so much! I'm impressed, and want to join in on the can-do attitude. ANYWAY, I love lists and forms, so I decided to incorporate one to introduce myself.
Name: Katie
Age: 20
Family life: Dorming / Summer with the fam
Occupation: College student
Hobbies and interests: Art and books
Favorite Thing About Myself: My eye color (Grey-blue.) Proud to know that this is something I share with my sister and my father.
Least Favorite Thign About Myself: My weak chin! No matter how much weight I lose, my neck will most likely always look like a slide. I’m not going to wait to drop twenty pounds to find out. My face is my face, and it’s part of who I am.
Why I want to lose weight: I want to be able to wear what I like without the hassle of going to find plus-size stores, I want to feel healthy and unashamed of my body, and comfortable in my own skin. I also want to take part in things that I don’t have the confidence to right now: like the college hiking club (I’m afraid I’m not fit enough to do it right now.) Of course, I want to BE healthy.
Weight Progress: I’ve almost lost my first ten pounds! Three more pounds to go. At my most heavy, I was a little above 200 (around Christmas,) but I usually lingered around 192 or 193. Now, I am about 183. Since the first time I checked, I was about 190, I consider that my starting weight.

And congrats on your college career, xxkaleidoscopic. Did you gain the freshman 15? I definitely did. All those desserts, especially in the first half of the year, were difficult to deal with. Although vegetables and healthy options are also readily available. That's how I broke 200. I'm definitely fifteen pounds less since then.
