Smile Finally losing weight by having shake at nite

Been struggling for YEARS - but have for last 5 weeks been going down steadily after I switched having my protein shake from breakfast to dinner!
Down 11 lbs so far and not having night time hunger.
Lunch is mediterranean diet - lots of veggies and beans with olive oil and vinegar - sometimes with reduced fat Feta cheese - sometimes with a handfull of nuts.
Breakfast protein on a 100 calorie whole wheat roll (egg or peanut butter) - and a fruit.
Snack might be fruit or PB on celery. I do not eat sweets - but have been off them for 20 years! (with no real success in losing weight).
I do have a hamburger on the roll for breakfast about 1x per week. Sometimes fish - sometimes chicken.
I take the morning sandwich and bowl of veggies & beans to work.

WOW, that's great! I'm glad you have found something that works for you. I have trouble with hunger in the evening. What kind of protein shake do you drink? Is it something you make yourself, or a pre-packaged protein shake?

I'd love to hear more....I'm thinking this might be something that would work for me. Please give us a little more detail. thanks

Protein shake - (I make it myself and content varies a bit).

1 cup plain soy milk
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 scoop nutrition yeast flakes (Brewers Yeast)
1/2 to 3/4 cup frozen berries
a few shakes of cinnamon
a bit of Stevia to sweeten

run in blender until all mixed

been experimenting with 1/2 cup soy milk and 1/2 cup water with whey powder. The point is to get amount of protein pretty high - my shake has about 30 grams protein. I started putting in the Greek Yogurt 3 weeks ago and it makes the drink richer and tastier.
It is 16 to 20 ounces - so is a lot to drink - and I drink it slowly.

The yeast is optional - but I have been taking that for 25 years. It is loaded with B and other vitamins and minerals.

I am thrilled that this is working for me - that nighttime munching has always been my biggest problem!
