Law School Ruined Me

2 Attachment(s)
I went to law school a year ago, and a month ago, dropped/failed out. I had many ups and downs, including a broken off engagement and failing grades. I went from 138 lbs to a whopping 174 in a matter of 8 months. Here are 2 pictures of me around the time I went off to school. I am 5'4".

I have managed to go down to 168 and stay there in the past two months, but anxiety, depression, moving back home, and not finding a job has not helped my eating habits and thus, have not been able to lose more weight. I am, however, trying very hard, and hope to lose 5 more pounds in the next month, god willing. Here is a very bad quality but current picture of me at my weight now. My entire goal weight is actually going to be 125.

Aw, I gained a lot in law school too. I graduated but have not passed a bar and don't practice. I hope that you can take some positive out of the things you did learn and put it behind you. Good luck with your goals.

Welcome to 3FC!

School can be very tough, and there are a great many students around here that will concur that stress eating is REAL! I'm so sorry you're having a rough time of things right now.

Stick to your plans. You may have a lot going on, but you can still choose to eat healthier than you were, even if it's not healthiest.

You can do it! See you around the boards!

At least you have an idea of what you look like as a thin person...you are beautiful.
You will find a lot of support here. Good luck!

Still weighed 168 today, but i'm glad I didn't gain weight. I don't think I;ll be losing weight tomorrow. I just hope I didn't gain any. Its such a long road for me. I overate again today. I had a bagel sandiwch with egg and bacon this morning with a coffee from panera, which wouldn't have been so bad, except that for lunch I had an ice cream cone and a few fries, which also wouldnt have been equally as bad, except that for dinner, I had a full plate of gyro with pita bread, yogurt, tahini, tzasiki sauce, and a ginger ale.

i think you need to be a little easier on yourself. School, especially if it didn't follow your plan, can be really trying. Maybe research some solid programs and get some exercise in place? i'm sorry law school didn't work out, but maybe it just wasn't a good fit for you. -fm

thank you dear. it was hard, but just seeing the thinner girls doing just fine eating salads and getting better grades was very depressing. shouldnt have let it get to me.

Its true. I had a same experience. Struggling through law school has been tough, but college-essay-writing-service-how-to-choose-faq-our-top-5 has been a real lifesaver for me. Their tips and resources have helped me navigate the challenges and keep my head above water. It's like having a guiding light in the darkness of law school woes.

Law school changed my perspective forever. It challenged me intellectually and shaped my approach to problem-solving. It prepared me for the complexities of legal practice. Today, the rise of hiring a Virtual Legal Assistant, like those offered by platforms such as virtual-legal-assistant is transforming legal operations by providing efficiency and flexibility. This innovative approach allows legal professionals to focus on strategic aspects of their work while delegating routine tasks to capable virtual assistants.

I completely understand the feeling of being overwhelmed by the demands of law school. I had a similar experience during my time in nursing school. The endless assignments, clinical rotations, and exams often left me feeling drained and questioning my choices. What helped me cope was finding a balance between study and self-care, and seeking support from nursing writers. It's important to remember that you're not alone, and reaching out for help can make a world of difference. How do others here manage the stress and pressure of intense academic programs?
