Hello everyone!
Hello all! Obviously I'm new here. I am here because I have a lot of weight to lose. I currently weigh around 285 which is the highest I've ever weighed. Unfortunately I tend to just keep gaining and gaining and can't seem to lose weight. I have a lot of issues surrounding food. I believe that I have binge eating disorder and often eat when I am upset, to try to numb emotional pain or sometimes for no reason at all.
However, I am hopeful. I am going to be starting therapy soon and I am hoping that eventually I can train myself to eat healthy. I have started going to the gym 3-4 times a week for the past month but have not lost any weight at all so I think that my issue is generally around food and not exercise (although I still need to exercise no matter what).
I joined this community because I needed a place where I could discuss losing weight and numbers in a positive supportive environment. I have been on other message boards that were for women in general and a lot of weight loss discussion was discouraged because it was seen as "triggering" for anyone who may have suffered from anorexia or bulimia.
Anyway, this is really long. I can't wait to get started here and start discussing things that we can all relate to!
