While I support you doing whatever you think is best for your family, I do not think it's fair to call those individuals commenting about pot smoking as "the swill pit of society." 3fc is supposed to be an accepting, supportive environment. And from what I understood, the use was legal (CA permits medical marijuana). Whatever your personal beliefs, it is an issue some people deal with when trying to lose weight, and thus strikes me as an appropriate topic of conversation. I never understood the OP or anyone else as advocating its use -- simply talking about her personal experiences.

Everyone does things that someone else will consider bad. Hopefully, we are all mature enough not to denigrate each other or resort to ad hominem attacks.

It's legal. Completely legal. We talk about drinking alcohol all the time on this site. And parties as well as other "inappropriate" topics. We've even discussed sex and not feeling sexy, etc. This is really not that bad.

I see the swill pit of society has decided to move in on 3fatchicks.com
This is an open, accepting, forum. How dare you look down on anyone in such a way. There are a lot of amazing people that smoke pot. Some use it to deal with medical issues, and others are just enjoying life. These posters aren't the "swill pit" of any society.

I will block this site from my kids today.
I'm guessing you block them from every single site on the internet. The mere mention of pot has you running for cover? Really? I don't know if you realize this, but pot is medically legal in a lot of areas and probably going to be legal everywhere in the future. Your kids will be exposed to a lot more than just someone mentioning "smoking herb." How about you explain the topic to them, before someone else does?

If I see more of this cropping up, I'll stop recommending the site to co-workers and friends. I don't want to be seen as promoting druggies.
It's not promoting druggies, at all. It's just stating some people live differently than you do. If you think these posters are promoting the use of MJ, then everyone on this forum is promoting either alcohol, parties, pre-marital sex, eating unhealthy, or depressive outlooks. Or all of these things.
I really am offended that you would even think your better than anyone in such a manner.

I'm not a pot user, nor am I advocating it's use, but I think someone needs to pass the joint to Jolina...it may do her some good. Why does Westboro Baptist Church come to mind? 0.o

I agree 110% with everything kurisitaru said..

Wow, I thought I was the only one who was ticked off at Jolina's post! I found it really, really uncalled for to call anyone on this board the "swill pit of society" no matter what personal choices they make. You should be ashamed of yourself!

I have read of other users in this forum mentioning their past and/or present problems with drug use and, from what I can tell, no one has ever went as far as to call them anywhere near "the swill pit of society". It's unfortunate that even with the endless amount of advice and support on this website that one or two members MENTIONING marijuana use (not advocating) would cause anyone to completely turn against this site.

With that being said, welcome to 3fc Jesterlove17. Not everyone has their heads stuck up their own you know what! Good luck!
