I hope I can keep up with this site. I am a 40yr old mom of a wonderful bright beautiful child who loves and supports all of my crazy childlike endeavors! I work in an office surrounded by coworkers who could all use to lose a few hundred pounds added up. All we do is sit and answer the phones....eat at our stations and I'm tired of trying to convince them to cut the crap eating. I'm doing on my own.
I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes in end of March. I was so stunned by what the doctor was telling me all I could register was my childs face in my mind. Needless to say....I cut out all the sugar and flour from my food as of that day. I have lost 24lbs. I walk half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening. My goal is to add 15 minutes to my routine.
Family members are noticing my weight loss but not questioning why. My struggle for control of this issue dates back to when I turned 10 and got my period. I started gaining weight then. I have tried all the diets and all the fads. But cutting out the sugar and flour seems to be working for me.
Well that's a little about me so far. I hope I can find some peace by posting my frustrations and acheivements here. Great loosing everyone!!
