Hi everyone, my name is Hilary. I'm 21. I've pretty much been big my whole life. It pretty much as set my low self esteem. I've been on a bunch of diets but only weight watchers has ever worked for me. I've already lost 9 pounds in the last month. Since I got to 207, and that's the biggest I've been. I was shocked. I've been mostly 170-180 my whole teenage/young adult life. I've been on weight watchers 2 other times where I've seen great results, but I am determind to stay on it even if my budget is tight. Anyways, I'm glad I found this site. I look forward to getting the weight off!
I'm a WW member, too, and I actually decided that the program works if -I- work the program. Same for any method. I made WW a priority. It is my "luxury" gift to myself. So, let's stick to it and get down to our goal weights forever!
It is true that you have to work the system. But there are going to be set backs and fails. I've gone up and down in my first 12 weeks, so it's a constant struggle.
But I think the important thing to do is to keep on trying until we get it right. Weight loss is difficult, but we can do it!
Good luck for you all, I'm sure we'll have a great success if we stick to it and stay motivated and determined.
Welcome! I'm from Norhern California I liked WW too, I started slacking tho and just doing it at home instead of the meetings too... that was a bad idea for me, because the meetings did help keep me more accountable. Good luck
I'm from California too. So good to see you all here.
I'm on the Lindora plan and have lost over 60 lbs since September. It's basically, low carb, low fat, high lean protein, lots of water and exercise.
Welcome Hilarylove! Another nor-cal girl in the house - I'm from the Santa Cruz area. All of you fellow nor-calers PM me if any of you are interested in getting together for monthly walks/hikes.
