Default Newbie to the forum, but not to dieting...

HI Everyone!

I have been dieting all my life ( sound familiar?) But I'm really getting sick of what I see when I look in the mirror. I'm here to hold myself accountable to someone/people who are in the same situation. I try to talk to friends and family and I start to feel like "they have heard this all before" and don't want to hear it again. If thats how they feel ( they dont say it) I dont blame them. I'm kind of sick of it too.

I'm doing Weight Watchers because IMHO its the most logical LIFESTYLE choice for me. Ive tried a lot of different programs, but I like that on WW you can eat whatever you want as long as it fits in your points. I also like that I can eat the same amount daily. Plus sometimes its fun to see if I can make a great meal for under a certain amount of points.

I have also been doing some of the Leslie Sansone DVDs. I try to get in one mile 3x per day. I remember watching Jillian Michael's show when she said that "the mind gives up before the body" and I really believe that. So pretty soon I will be doing 2 miles at once and progressing from there.

Thanks for letting me ramble!!

Hey there Time =) Welcome to 3FC

We've heard it all before, too. The difference? We LOVE to hear it again. Love to hear what people are doing. Love to know what's working for some. Love to know when a person learns something new... it's all great.

I'm a WW member, too. There's a WW section if you have Points questions or just wanna chat with other members. But, the whole site is open to you, and there are great ideas and people all over.

Look around. Post wherever you're comfortable. And keep coming back!!!

Hi TTS22,

I'm sure most of us here can relate to your story (lifelong weight struggles). And I think it takes courage for us to begin again and again - not to mention, that's how winners become successful! Do you know how many times I "quit smoking" before I actually stayed quit? And now it's been almost 14 years. The battle ain't over till we stop fighting.

My co-worker lost about 40 pounds using WW Points, and she's kept it off over 2 years. She looks fantastic and about 15 year younger. She considers it a game to "play the Points", and we all have fun hearing about her creativity with it.

I know you can do this. Stick around and share your success with us!

Happy Monday,
Tabitha
