  • Quote: I would NEVER ask to sit next to a child! My five sons are young adults now, but we flew frequently with them when they were young. If I had heard that an adlut (regardless of size) had specified that they wanted to sit next to a child, either my husband or I would have immediately changed seats with that son, and kept our eyes on the person for the entire flight as we would be on "Pervert Alert!!!"
Yikes...I hadn't even thought about that.

I don't have kids, so I guess I didn't think of it from the kids'/parents' point of view, just from the point of view of looking for more space.
  • I tend to chose to sit by the window and raise the window side armrest. I get an addition 4 inches or so of room and don't encroach on my neighbors space and get the full storage area under the seat in front of me.
  • I am 5'8, 388lbs and fit in the seats on the airline I work for. Whenever they board special needs I always get on with them like that I can ask for an seat belt extender and make myself comfortable before anyone else boards. You should have no problems but I would not recommend sitting in the middle. Happy Vacationing to you!
