I'm New and Excited!

  • Hello Everyone!
My name is Nicole, and I'm just giving a short introduction to myself. I'm 20, I weigh 266lbs, and I am ready to take control of my life. My GW is 150lbs, and I hope to complete this by next June. Today I have been diagnosed with Type II diabetes, and I am going to visit a nutritionist to begin taking steps towards my better health.
I'm excited that I have found a community to help with everything.
  • Welcome!
  • good luck nicole. your young and have everything to gain by getting healthy. my sister was diagnosed withn type two last year. she's 54. whenever she craves carbs or sugar she pulls out her testing kit. do i want to stick myself or do i want the treat. since she hates testing she forgoes the treat. this has workes wonders for her. she has gone from an size 18 to a loose fitting size 12. find what trick works to discourage you from eating unhealthy and stop and ask yourself is it worth it before you take a bite. she has her tester with her always. she put it on the table when its time for dessert when we go out to eat. it really has made a difference.
