Smile Chick in Paris

Hello to everybody,

I introduce myself, i started today, i am very excited to have found 3fatchicks forum, i tumbled in to it after searching how to make a conversion from dry ounces to cups as i was preparing a new low calorie recipe, and with the little i read i absolutly loved it here. So i decided to join immediatly.

I am originaly from Mexico (baja california) married with my French husband and came to live to Paris, ive been living in France for 1 year 7 months. And yes it's hard to not eat the cute, delicious, sweet little french cakes.

So strongly incouraged to lose those extra pounds i have and have fun losing them too.

Have a nice day

Hi, chick in Paris (lucky you! i have this dream of living in Paris one day
I randomly came across this forum while looking for healthy recipes online..
I decided to give it a try.
I am hoping to be able to lose at least 50 pounds over the course of the next year. I currently weigh 173 pounds, and my goal weight is 120..
Wish me luck, and I hope to be able to make some new friends along the way as well

Hello bargoo and mordorchic,

Thank you very much for welcoming me.

bargoo, i see you started like me at 204 pounds, when i see that many persons were in my same weight and lost very much i feel i can too. Thank you.

mordorchic, i hope some day you can live here its beautiful.
In many markets kind of like Walmart where they sell cloth the largest size they sell is a 16, this motivates me to lose weight.
I think you will lose those 50 pounds you want, its almost half of what i need to lose ... Good luck in your goal and dont let go.

Hola Gordis! Im from Baja Cali as well but living in living in Miami....with my Cuban husband. .. for me ... the summer is coming faster than expected... Miami is so hot that covering up is not an option. My only down fall is breakfast, i was raised with Mexican food in the morning, moms breakfasts... and going to oatmeal or cold cereal or something sweet like fruit and yogurt doesn't attract to me. Im going to have to google some good healthy latin breakfast. Ok i have another downfall... bread and tortillas.

Aver como me va.. =]

Hola ThisNeedsToHappen,
What a surprise today to see we are from the same State, i understand the breakfast way for us and here is the land of the yogurt as well and i dont like, the only one i can eat is the natural yogurt and i add a little splenda, and sometimes if the calorie counting way in my diet says half a banana. Here also is the land of the Bread (baguette and a piece of it has i think 500 calories) and for the tortillas, the only good ones are the ones made of flour because the "maiz" tortillas YUCK! and those are the ones i like and in some way its good because here i can't find. But one the otherside everything you can imagine for being thin exists. I've been doing eDiets on internet and it's worked very good for me the first time i tried, im on it again for the second time and ive found its very flexible for my eating way, and i use CalorieKing (without subscribing) when i need to count calories. Hope to hear from you again I would love to keep in contact. Hechale Ganas te va a ir muy bien, nomas no aflojes!!!

I would LOVE to live in Paris! I have to admit though, when I went to just visit Paris for a couple of weeks, I gained 10 lbs. yikes. You have to have will power, that's for sure!

Good luck with your weight loss/health goals! : )
