Default Hello!

Hello, my name is Marina. I'm nineteen years old and I weigh about 177 pounds. I joined this forum in hopes of receiving support/help to reach my goals! My ultimate goal weight is to be healthy - period. But also, a special event is coming up around the beginning of August that I would really like to have lost about 30-40 pounds by.

I'm planning to do this by changing my lifestyle and what I eat, how often I eat, and of course how often I drink water. And I'm finally making use of that gym membership!

I know it's going to be difficult but I think it will be worth it.

My name is Gretchen. I am a 34 yr old single mom. I have RA. I battle with weight mostly because I am not as active as I was and I comfort with food. I enjoy working out but my body fails me constantly. I am on the go with my son and just wanted to meet people my age with similiar situations. I am not a pity party. I am making a commitment to myself to lose the weight and get healthy again.

Welcome to you both! Good to see you here.

Cling: you have a great plan set up for yourself. You can do. Remeber, it's one day, or even one meal/craving at a time. Keep slogging through it, don't give up. Post here often, ask questions, and be involved in your own weight loss!

Gretchen: I am also 34, and a mom (not single, but sometimes it feels like it!) I find swimming is a wonderful exercise for me. The water supports my body weight and I can actually get moving enough to increase my heartrate. After, I sit in the hot tub to relax my muscles/joints. Bring your son with you - have some fun throwing him around in the water (great upper body move!) You'll have motivation galore if you do - he'll want to go again and again because it was fun, (how can you say no?) and you get to bond together.

Anyways, welcome. Explore the forums, make yourself at home. We have got some work to do!
