Hi Sharon:
I read your response to my reply and wanted to answer your question.
My initial answer would be "I don't know." You're correct, I'm down to 225 lbs. What I didn't share on the post is that I have also lost A LOT OF INCHES!!!
That's why I try not to pay too close attention to a scale! It's important but it doesn't always reflect the truth. Another thing perhaps is that I have a big bone structure. Even at my target weight, I won't have small wrists (albeit they are smaller than before). I just spent the weekend cleaning my closet of all of my 18-22 suits and dresses. Size 18's are absolutely too big for me. I'm wearing 16's good and even some 16's that I've both recently as becoming too big.
But remember I used the word "comfortably." What I meant by comfortably is fabric type. I have several size 14 dresses (and even some just plain ole Size L) that fit beautifully. However, the fabric in each of those dresses have "give." That's what I mean by comfortably. Every two weeks, I will go into a store and try on a Size 14 whose fabric does not have any given (say for instance, Linen or Rayon). Since I am a suits type of person (primarily because of my work), that's what I will try. In most cases, the Size 14 skirt fits (snuggly at times -- but I like snug). My problem is my arms are the part of my body that enlarges the most when I gain weight. I have lost many inches in them but they still preclude me from fitting "comfortably" in a size 14.
Let me let you in on something concerning me and the scale. With the Quick Weight Loss program, I have to weigh in three times a week. Each Monday, we also do measurements. There have been weeks whereby the scale will show a 1-1/2 to 2 pound weight gain, while at the same time, I will have lost a total of 2-4 inches. Go figure! So I encourage everyone to weigh yourself but the best measurement of your progress is seeing the inches fade away. I do this by trying on smaller size clothes to see how far I have to go the fit that particular size. If the price is right I will even buy it (yes, even if it doesn't quite fit) and then I use that outfit as my target piece. I get great inspiration and motivation by doing this.
I hope this answers your question. When I figure out how to use this site, I'm going to post before and NOW pictures. (As a postnote, my target weight is 175 -- believe it or not when I reach my goal -- I'm going to be pretty skinny. Hope you are around to see the results. Good luck to you -- stay motivated!
