Here we go!
Hey everyone! My name is Claire...I'm 23 and have about 40 pounds to lose. I was about 130 going into college (still a bit overweight) and have slowly gained about 30 pounds in the past 3 years. I'm not sure when it happened, but my love affair with food (especially of the sugary type) has gone on way too long.
After trying a few extreme low-carb diets VERY half-heartedly, I've finally decided to do it the right way. I'm going to stick to around 1300 calories a day. I don't have a specific diet in mind. I just plan on making good, healthy choices (lean protein, lots of veggies, and fresh fruit). Given my diet at the moment, that's a HUGE change. l'm very much the kind of person who will completely give up if I have one slip-up, so I really need to work on that.
Anyway, I've browsed this site on and off for awhile and finally decided I just need to join! The success stories on here are so inspirational. I hope I will be able to add mine soon!
