New member on Ideal Protein Diet

  • Never been in an online community before- so I'm learning by doing. Is anyone having success with Ideal Protein Diet? I'm in my 3rd week. Doing well, but it is not easy!

I am in my second week, and no lie, it's not easy or cheap, so am hoping it is worth it. I am not in ketosis, which they can't explain, and still wanting my sugar. Weekends are a challange - so much easier to drink all that water at work it seems, but keep the faith - and think of summertime and bathing suits.
  • Strange that you're not in ketosis yet. Are you losing weight? Once you stop the cravings, it's easier--but I still feel hungry/empty some of the time. But I AM determined!
  • Welcome Fit, Glad to have you join us.
  • Welcome and good luck!

Iagree....its not easy. How do you know you're in ketosis?
  • I just started Ideal Protein this week (Wed). I have actually found it to be pretty easy - aside from eating the two cups of vegetables at lunch and dinner. I struggle with that but otherwise feeling good. Looking forward to weigh in on Wed!
  • Hang in there Ladies I have been on it since March 8th. nope it wasn't easy, but it gets to be easy.
I had challenges too, our daughter got married on May 19th, and before that we had the bridal shower. Now on Saturday we have my inlaws 60 wedding anniv. then on the 7th is my brothers wedding.
I do the best I can on those days. but I get right back on track the very next day. I have lost 40 pounds and 20 inches 40 more pounds to go.
    You can do it!!!!!
  • I am new here and I am starting my 3rd week of IP today. I agree its easier to drink all the water I need while at work, during my two days off (sundays and mondays) I find it harder to drink all my water or stay on a schedule but I still try to have my 3-4 protein packs a day. Thus far I've done good, and the cravings do get better, at least they have for me. I don't even think about cheating, I more worry about whether I can eat on time lol. Keep with the IP, its so worth it, a friend of mine that recommended has already lost 40 lbs in 2 months and she looks awesome!

Btw, what I think helps, with any program but definitely IP, think about weekly goals. Instead of saying I have 50-100 pounds to lose, think about it weekly. This week "my goal is to lost 7 lbs or 5 lbs or whatever your goals is" and stick to that each week.
