Hi All,
I have been overweight my whole life. I am one of those people who doesn't know how to be thin... or at least has never been thin. I remember lying about my weight when I was 16 years old, getting my first driver's license. I was well over the 175 lbs that I said that I was. And, now, I'm 30 and I still haven't gotten to that weight!
I have tried many different diets, with varying levels of success. I reached my highest weight about 2.5 years ago, at 250. That was a bit of a wake up call for me, and since then I have steadily (but very slowly) lost weight. I'm happy with the weight loss, because I feel like they are due to real lifestyle changes. But, at times, I feel like I should be doing better or losing weight faster. I generally do weight watchers, although I vary in how strictly I follow the program.
I discovered this site about 3 weeks ago, and I have been lurking ever since. I am hoping that the support that I have seen here can help me stay focused on healthy eating and exercise behaviors... Right now, in particular, I am feeling a little discouraged. I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself! Here's hoping that this is another step on the path to health and wellness!
