Hi! Hi! Hi!
Hello everyone!
I came across this website a couple of weeks ago and have finally decided to join! I love these forums, everyone is so supportive! well I am 18 and a full time student at a florida uni, I love it! however, I think that's my problem, I love it a little too much (especially the unlimited pizza at the dinning hall-yum!) anyways, I started halloween and I have lost roughly 10 pounds since then, going up and down, but now I want to get serious. After reading the south beach diet book, I started it on monday and I am ready to get healthy! Sorry for such the long introduction, I am just so excited to be here! :D |
Nice to meet you cgirl :) welcome to 3FC !

Hi AR4life! and Hi cheeriloos!
I also tried the slim fast diet a couple months ago, but it just did not work for me, I was always hungry! the south beach diet it basically three phases, the initial phase is a two week phase where you cut out sugars, carbs, fruit, ect. to stop cravings (so far so good for me)! and you eat protein rich foods and lots of most veggies (minus potatos, carrots, and a few others). Phase 2 is after the two weeks and you reincorporate certain foods like brown rice and whole-wheat bread (nothing white) etc. and you get fruit back! and phase 3 is maintaining by eating healthy like on phase 2. I have only been on this a few days but i already love it! it is so much easier to follow because i am never hungry (they stress having three meals with two snacks, and even a sugar-free desert!) which was always such an issue for me on previous diets, and i get to eat my cheese (low-fat of course)! I will be sure to keep you posted on how it goes :) p.s. someone please correct me if I have anything wrong! |
Welcome, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join.
