Well Then, Hello There = ]

  • Oh, let's start with the obvious.

Hiiiiii! My name is Steph. I'm twenty years old, and currently I'm going to school part time and working part time. I've been overweight for the majority of my life, starting with bad parenting and continuing with bad eating habits as I got older. I've never had issues with exercising as I've always done it regularly, but binge eating is my problem, and it doesn't help being on medication that makes me constantly feeling like eating xP In November, I hit my highest weight ever at 330 pounds. I've never really had self esteem issues due to my weight and I've usually been comfortable with myself, which is probably why I've reached as heavy as I am without thinking much of it. Recently though, when I started spilling over into a size 26 from size 24, that's when it occurred to me, "I need to make a change for my health, no matter how comfortable I am with myself.".

I've gone from 330 to roughly 315, and eventually I want to get down to 150, possibly less. I'm trying to set a target of losing 7-10 pounds a month, and work on alternatives to my binge eating, such as drinking water instead.

Historically, online support has helped for me with other past issues (Bipolar Disorder), so I figured, 'Why the **** not, no harm in it.".

So, without further adieu, here I am

  • Hey Steph -

You might want to check out our "300 + Club", for those with starting weights of 300 lbs or more, or the 100 lb club, for those on their way to losing or who have lost 100 lbs or more. Both would be great fits for you, in addition to the Depression forum you were linked to earlier, and any of our forums by plan or age range.

Look around, settle in, and just keep going. Can't wait to get to know you better.
