Hey everyone, my name is Megan and I am new to this website. I have been fighting my weight for many years and I am done with being large. I am redy to lose weight and I think now is as good of time as any. My husband is also on this wight loss journey with me (although he isn't as into it as I am and at times thwarts my attempts to behealthy).
I am 253 pounds (I think I need a new scale though because I think I am closer to 265), I am 67 inches tall and I have a BMI of nearly 40. My goal weight is to be 155lbs with a BMI of 25.
My husbandand I have been doing the Wii Fit, and Wii fit plus. I also got the Hip Hop Abs system and I am excited to start it tomorrow morning. Has anyone tried the Hip Hop Abs system?

I absolutely love this site, it's so motivating to know so many others are on the same path as yourself. I also use the Wii Fit and love that too. Haven't ever done the Hip Hop Abs, but good luck with it! Best of Luck to you on your journey!!!!!
I am not dramaticly changing my diet right now, I am going to slowly change things over the next month or so. I feel if I go from eating fatty crap to nothing but carrots I will end up binge eating or falling off the wagon so to speak.
I am not frying food any more I am bake and broiling my meats. I am also eating less meat and more veggies. I am filling 1/2 of my plate with veggies and a little bit of meat. I only have one helpng and rarely go for seconds. I also am not using salt or butter on my veggies.
I still have some sweets but I will eat only 1/3 of my normal portion. I also find if I want to eat I drink water or munch on carrots to keep me busy. I have found that I am using portion control more and more as I venture down this road of weight loss.
As I build new habits (healthier habits) I will move to more healthier choices and completly cut out the sweets and sodas and wha not that I am use to no.
hip hop abs is a blast! I also love Flirty Girl Fitness to tone muscle. Wii fit is a blast too! BUt I am more partial to Dance Workout. Good Luck on your journey!!
