Welcome. Just a note...there are a lot of ways to your destination, choose what works for you. If you decide to go the GP way then deal with the issues before the surgery. Hopefully you have visited the WLS thread so that you can ask questions of the people that had surgery and are successful at maintaining their loss. No route is the "lazy" route. Losing weight is work. It's great that you started working out because either route you take it helps. Make sure you are planning and leaving no room for failure.

For me, WLS would be the lazy route, because I dont think even seeing the results would help me to become motivated. Im not knocking the surgery, Id love to loose 100lbs in a year, but that wont stop me from grabbing a cheeseburger or downing a coke. Today Im hurting like crazy, but its a constant reminder that I did exercise yesterday, and surprisingly enough, Im looking forward to working out again tonight. I hope I didnt give the impression that people who have the surgery are lazy. Not at all. But for me, yes, that would be lazy.
