Thumbs up A real shocker today! 200.5lbs!! MUST START!

today, I stepped on the scale and have officially reached over 200!!! OVER!!!! (200.5 to be exact). I'm 25 yrs old and 5'8.

With that being said, the plan to start the healthy diet and exercise plan was a complete FAIL today because I was dragged (not really) to a BUFFET by my bf's parents as a send off dinner for his bro who's going back to Stanford tomorrow... needless to say, I stuffed my face

I was browsing the web for ways to keep myself motivated during this long weight loss journey and TA-DA! Here I am now

Looking forward to chatting with you all! It was great seeing all of the tickers and the progresses everyone has made. Really hoping to stay active here and become part of the community, and lose some weight while I'm at it! Thanks for everyone's words of encouragement ahead of time!!

Hi, mustlosetowin. Sorry today didn't go as well as you had hoped it would. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for you. Good luck!

Good Luck! Social eating can be killer can't it? Buffets make it really hard to make good choices. But it was one meal, one time, let it go and resolve to do better.

Hey and welcome.
I just got out of the 200's. It hit me hard when I was there because I hadn't been there in quite sometime. The highest I have is 240lbs and that was when I was 19. I shot down and came back over the years.
I understand what you are going through and just know that with positivity and commitment -- you can do this! Pick out a diet that works for you. Choose a routine to being a little more active. The rest will come as as long as you work it

Good luck, this site has boosted my morale, I encourage you to keep checking back here.

Several years ago I was at a restaurant, overeating with my boyfriend at the time. He leaned over the table and said to me "Race you to 200!" Safely in the 185-188 range, I cracked up at his joke!

Well, I broke up with him not long after that and am sad to report I recently discovered I have "won." Anyway, I agree 200 is a milestone and a call for action. I lost five pounds before the holidays and felt really good. I was following South Beach and I found it to be pretty manageable.

I went to the grocery store today and am stocked up with lots of fresh veggies and I feel ready to continue where I left off a few weeks ago. I am not even going to weigh myself until the end of the week. I know I probably gained a few pounds back over the holidays, but I am ready to get back on track.

Default feeling the love!

Thank you all for the warmest welcome!! I feel much better about today's failure already~! Reading through the "GOAL" forum is really inspiring me! Now I have to find a way to pull myself away from reading this forum and actually get moving! hahaha Thanks again everyone!
