Need lots of help and encouragement!!!

  • I just started a week ago on the HCG diet and it has been fabulous already! I am amazed because I have already lost 7 1/2 lbs. Awesome, right???

My problem is I have such a tough time because I cook for my huge family. So guess who is in the kitchen baking cookies for the children...Me! I am having a tough time staying on track! Any words of wisdom or quotes that have kept you going...please share!!!

I am so excited to be a part of this because it seems everyone is SOOO helpful even through the hardest times!

    Thanks!

  • Welcome Bella!
I'm a newbie here too, and everyone has already been very supportive! I don't have kids, and never done the HCG program, but I'm sure you'll figure out different ways to get around the temptations!

Have a great rest of your week!

  • Thanks, everyone!
  • Hi Bella and welcome! Glad you're here! Congratulations on the loss so far, that's great!! I think your dilemma is a common one. I have a skinny husband that wants to eat yummy treats all the time and I'm eating a carrot, lol. I would try to get things in the house that are YOUR treats. If your kids want cookies and those cookies look and smell amazing and they are tempting you, bust out some of your treats you can have on plan. In other threads I've suggested the smart ones desserts....they are the best I've had so far! I'm not sure what the HCG diet is, but these are little desserts with cookies, ice cream, brownies...my personal favorite the PB cup sundae! They are around 170 calories and are amazing when I feel the urge for something sweet while my husband's eating ice cream cones left and right! I wish I had more suggestions, but I think when you have some treat that's on plan for you, you will feel good that you ate the diet treat instead of the cookies or brownies! It's so hard having a family that you have to cook 'normal' food for and you're on the diet stuff, I TOTALLY get that! You could try to encourage your family to not eat 'bad' cookies let's say..chocolate chip, maybe try a apple cinnamon cookie or something...satisfying to them and something you too can have and stay on plan! Good luck!!
