At wits end....

  • I am about to just face life as an overweight woman and not worry about it anymore.

I workout 4-5 days a week...hard working out.....with Cathe Friedrich. Eat right, wear a Body Bugg and still can't seem to lose a pound.

I don't know what else to do.

Reading about these remarkable women on here has given me a bit of hope.

  • first a hug because trying to find what works for you can be very frustrating.

Can you go into a little more detail on what you're eating. When I first joined 3fc I realized things that I thought were either low calorie or good for me weren't and made me read labels alot closer. Maybe your drinking too many calories without realizing it? Do you eat more at night?
  • Hi and welcome to 3FC.

    Good luck with your goals.

    Hugs

  • I have been logging my food at myfooddiary.com. I do snack at night and I have been working hard on cutting that out. I have been on and off diets my ENTIRE life starting at 11 when my parents loving enrolled me in WW without me even knowing it. GRRRR....
Been on WW, Jenny Craig, Medical Weight Loss, etc.....
Seems that the older I get the more difficult it is to lose weight.
Is anyone else experiencing that as well?
  • Michelle.....I just looked at your pictures.

    AMAZING!
  • to 3FC!

  • Welcome to 3FC Cathe workouts are HARD! you are doing great exercising with her!!

You might have to really, really concentrate on a certain number of calories, 12oo or 1500 or so, and super-stick to it, consistantly. I find workout out hard much easier than going kinda hungry BUT weight loss is much more about restricting food than exercising.

    best wishes!

    I say yes

it's true that we need less as we get older...usually. But I think if we build lean muscle mass, and maintain it, that helps a **** of a lot!
  • Welcome Pam to 3FC, we are glad you are here and know that you will find a lot of support here.
