Hello Everyone!
I am new to 3fatchicks. I came across this website when looking for a weight loss support group. I have been reading through some other user posts and responses and everyone seems very welcoming and supportive. I am excited to become a part of this online community!
I am 26 years old. I was a three sport athlete in high school, however started gaining weight my when I put sports on the back burner to focus on nursing school. Since then, I have tried to loose weight by going on crazy diets or using a personal trainer. I have never been able to sustain those changes. I am now wanting to make a lifestyle change that I can stick with for life. Small sustainable behavior changes every week.
My problem is I know what I need to do to loose the weight ie what to eat, when to eat, exercise ect. but I just can't seem to do it. It is sooooo much easier to sit around on the couch and think about how wonderful losing weight would be, but when it comes to getting off of the couch I can't do it.
I am turning to 3fatchicks to get the extra push that I need to get off the couch and get going. Hopefully there is someone out there that has had a similar story as mine and can pass on some words of wisdom/encouragement for me. I look forward to hearing from all of you and hope that one day I will be able to be the person who is offereing the words of wisdom, instead of looking for them.
