Smile Hi all! Me in a nutshell and I can't wait to lose all this weight!

Hi everyone!
I hope to gain to some great support and tips to keep me on my weight loss goal.
I have about 65lbs to lose. I honestly just keep packing on 10-12 lbs a year. UGH!!! I'm so disgusted I even let myself get to 198! The smallest I ever was 135 and I miss it! So that is my goal weight!

Right now I am eating small meals, cutting out all the bad "white stuff" and other bad carbs. I'm cutting out as much red meat as I can too. Lots of veggies and some fruit.

I am going to join the gym and work out at least 4 days a week on top of the classes. Right now I do ZUMBA class 2-3 days a week which I absolutely love by the way!!! By far the best workout I have ever done!!! I went to my first class and came home so sore I could barely even walk up and down the steps or sit for 3 days! LOL! My abs and especially thighs, hips and butt were so worked from that class! So right then, I knew this workout was it!!! If you haven't tried it! DO it!!!! You will love the high energy and music! I can't say enough about it...

I wish you all success! I know if we want it bad enough, we will do it!!!

Hi there!

Also a newbie...and YES! Have done Zumba quite a bit and it is soooooo much fun, I leave class feeling quite 'sassy' My favorite instructor changed locations so I moved onto other things, but have thought about going back!...Great workout.

Good luck with your weight loss journey!...You CAN do this, baby steps!

I am happy you are on the right track with the exercise and eating habits! You will get there!!! I am new to and I have to take it day by day... I am not sure what it is about exercise but I loath it... Cheers!

It sounds like you are on the right track to me. Cutting out the "white stuff" was a huge thing for me as I love bread, rice, pasta and potatoes. Eating lots of fruits, vegetables, cheese, eggs, nuts and meat seemed to be the key when I was losing weight.......even red meat! You will get there, keep up the good work and reward yourself for small goals along the way, it really helps to keep you focused

Hi and welcome ! I'm new too.

I know that you might feel that you want to lose this weight, but please don't think that you have ever been 'disgusting' ! All of us here may have given into temptations, but that doesn't mean we aren't goddesses inside ! I found that working on my self esteem over the past few years has had a big impact on my ability to lose weight (and in the main, keep it off).

All of us are beautiful and I think we all kick ourselves too much. Try imagining yourself as your best friend and think about what good things she would have to say about you ! We are never as cruel to others as we are to ourselves.

Keep positive and good luck !

Welcome! I hope you find the support you need.

I have seen Zumba. I have no rythem. Never been able to dance. But, everyone seems to love it. Maybe you will entice me into trying it!
