Just wanted to jump in and introduce myself

Hi all,

My name is Jerri and I'm 43 (in 16 days :) ) and still just strugglin' with unwanted weight for the past..ummm... 33 yrs!!! I had gastric bypass 3 yrs ago and lost 150 lbs out of a total 225 I needed to lose. I've completely fallen off track and the scale is going the wrong way...60 lbs the wrong way! I need to get refocused and just do what's right and follow the rules. I am just hoping to meet some people that understand the struggle a little more than most of my rather healthy friends. They are awesome people but unless you have ever been 225 lbs overweight, it's hard to understand.

Anyway... I look forward to finding some people to chat with, opportunities to encourage others, and maybe get some encouragement to just keep fighting the good fight for good health! I have a dream of doing a triathlon one day. It's a big dream but I don't think it's unattainable if I just put my mind to it. I have a problem with success. I get close and then something happens and I mess it all up. Hopefully that can change.

Ok...I'm a chatty cathy....sorry!

Looking forward to 'meeting' some new friends!
:)

Hi JerriH!

Oh man, you SOOOO can do a triathlon some day...without a doubt!...It's just gonna take discipline and work and time...Start out with smaller goals like maybe walking a 5K, then eventually running one, then maybe a 10K....and on and on. Doesn't have to be running of course, but whatever floats your boat that you like to do, that is key for keeping motivated with your exercise, that I know for sure...Don't be afraid to succeed!....Oh, and being 'chatty' is what joining a forum is about right? :) Anyways, good luck to you..Keep your dream alive!!!
