Hi. I'm new here.

I'm joining primarily to focus on increasing my physical activity, but also for support in general for this healthy lifestyle change I am making.
After almost 6 years of single motherhood, I found myself at over 300 pounds, 3 months after a broken ankle. I just turned 35 and expect to have many years ahead of me, and I want this body to be a pleasant place to reside for all those years to come. So it's time to put myself first now. Here I am.
I'm a homeschooling mom to 3 kids (ages 10,8,and 6), a full-time graduate student (counseling), the head honcho of a nonprofit cat rescue, and a work-at-home writer. I love reading and movies and meditation, and am looking forward to getting to know you all.
