Hello from Vancouver!
My story is a standard one. Woke up one day near 200 lbs, not sure how it happened. Found out my brother got engaged and is getting married in 6 MONTHS in Mexico (who gets married that quickly??) so I have 6 months to lose 40 lbs or so.
SO here's the plan.
South Beach. Hardcore stickler style. Web support from all of you. Swimming starting in October (just moved etc, no time at the moment), pilates. Weigh ins every three days or so (tracked by the annoyingly snarky Wii Fit - not so good for exercise, but love the line graph of weight and BMI). Throw in quitting smoking at the same time, because hey, why not make all the changes at once.
I officially started September 1st, though I didn't weigh myself till September 5th. Start weight : 193. Current weight : 193. Goal weight : 155 by the end of February, and then 140 by next summer. I'm 5'7 so I don't think that's unreasonable.
So hello! I look forward to trading recipes and tips with everyone (PS just made almond meal cinnamon "cookies" though not 100% sure I'm allowed to eat almond meal on phase one of SB)
