My Summer Goal
Hello Everyone,
I'm Shades from Ireland.
I have joined this forum because I am starting a weight loss programme on the second of September and hope to lose 65 pounds and reach my target weight of 147 pounds by the first of May 2011, just in time for the start of next summer.
I was always a very slender person and back in 2003 I weighed 100 pounds.
Many things have contributed to my scary steady weight gain, including medication, agoraphobia making me very sedentary, giving up smoking in 2005 and the menopause.
It is hard to believe, but in seven years I have more than doubled my weight and now weigh 212 pounds. I feel extremely uncomfortable at this weight.
I worry about my health now and would love to be able to wear all the clothes in my wardrobe which have quickly become too small.
Being this overweight has made me very depressed. The good news is that now I have decided to join this forum I feel positive and happy that I am about to make a new start.
By next summer I want to be posting telling you all my tips for how I lost 65 pounds and became a much healthier, happier person.
