Hello Everyone,

I am brand new to this site; been lurking for a couple of days now. I have just begun my weight loss journey and am desperately needing a solid support system. My husband is supportive, as is my best friend, but neither of them know what it's like to be anything other than slender. I know that you all here will be able to empathize with me.

I am 47 years old. My starting weight is 295 and my goal is 165ish. I started a ketosis plan through a local clinic on 8/18 and as of this morning I have dropped a bit over 7 pounds, wow!

I do have a couple of questions but I will ask them in their own thread. Thank you so much for all that you do to help others!

Welcome. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.

Hi Robin, I'm new to the site too. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, I'm Terri. I have high hopes for this site, although I feel like I need to sit down and look over the threads and decide on several to start reading. I would like to meet a few "support buddies" to keep up with, I think it helps to be somewhat accountable to someone else. I found that it helped A LOT to have quit buddies when I stopped smoking last year using a quitter's website (becomeanex.org). Anyway, hooray for us both for finding 3fc! Best of luck and let me know if you would like a support buddy.
